A financial planner for Canberra, wherever you are.
A financial planner covering retirement, superannuation, insurance and tax-effective investing for clients across Canberra and the ACT. Strong familiarity with public-sector pay structures, salary packaging and defined-benefit super.

How it works if you’re in Canberra.
Meetings run on Zoom or Teams. You upload documents securely and sign them online. Canberra clients have worked with us this way for years — none of it is new or experimental.
Hours run 8am to 7pm AEST. Useful for APS clients in Barton, Parkes or the Russell precinct fitting a call around the working day, and for professionals in the inner-north who prefer an evening slot.
You can always just ring — 1300 67 37 37 or 0419 506 560. Most jobs take three conversations: a first call, a session on the strategy, and a walk-through of the written advice.
There is no Canberra office. We say so up front.
We work out of Suite 11.18, 401 Docklands Drive, Melbourne. There is no shopfront in Civic, Barton or Braddon, and no serviced suite anywhere in the ACT. Canberra engagements are virtual, and have been for years.
Service coverage is Australia-wide. There are no postcode restrictions on the advice. ACT clients access the same adviser, the same scope and the same fees as Melbourne files.
- Everything over video or the phone.
- We can’t meet you face to face in the ACT.
- The same adviser, the same advice, the same fees.
What we can help with.
Public-sector salary packaging
APS and ACT government salary packaging, novated leases, FBT-exempt items where relevant. Coordinated with the household payroll arrangement.
Defined-benefit super
PSS, CSS and PSSap. Pre-retirement modelling for members still in legacy defined-benefit funds. The mechanics differ materially from accumulation funds.
Retirement and transition
Drawdown sequencing, transition-to-retirement, and the final ten working years. Equally applicable in the ACT as in Victoria.
Personal risk insurance
Income protection, TPD, trauma, life cover. Sized to the household, not to a target premium. APS death-and-invalidity benefits taken into account where relevant.
Tax-effective investing
Negative gearing, franking credits, and whose name things should be in. Worked through with your accountant, wherever they are.
SMSF strategy alongside
Advice on setting up a fund sits outside this licence. The lending and the wider strategy we handle in-house for ACT trustees.
You get the advice in writing — formally, a Statement of Advice. If it involves managed funds, we start at a $50,000 portfolio.
Who we work with in Canberra.
The Canberra book skews public-sector and professional-services. APS executive-level officers (EL1, EL2, SES), senior policy and legal staff, defence civilians, and a big group of contractors moving between roles inside the Commonwealth. Pre-retirees here often begin with superannuation advice on the defined-benefit overlay, then move into retirement and drawdown planning.
Inner-north households in O'Connor, Ainslie and Braddon. Inner-south families in Kingston and Yarralumla. Suburban first-home buyers and upgraders across Gungahlin, Tuggeranong and Belconnen.
Canberra loan sizes typically sit between Adelaide and Sydney, and the borrowing capacity calculator is a useful read before the strategy meeting. The structural side of the advice is consistent across the book. What differs is the salary-packaging mechanics, the legacy defined-benefit fund interactions, and the timing of post-employment moves out of the ACT. The wider retirement planning hub sits behind that work.
Planning, loans and buying a place — all handled here.
