How we work with Perth clients.

Every meeting runs on Zoom or Teams. Document exchange happens through secure upload, and signatures are captured electronically. WA clients have engaged the practice this way for years. None of it is new.

Perth runs two or three hours behind the eastern states depending on daylight saving. We hold morning slots from 7am Perth time, and late afternoon slots until 5pm Perth time, which covers most working professionals on either side of the day.

Phone is available on 1300 67 37 37 or 0419 506 560. Most files run on a mix of one introductory call, one strategy meeting, and one Statement of Advice walkthrough.

There is no Perth office. We are clear about that upfront.

The practice does not maintain a Perth shopfront. WA clients are served virtually, which has been the operating model for the practice for years. The advice scope is national.

The practice runs out of Suite 11.18, 401 Docklands Drive, Melbourne. Service coverage is Australia-wide. There are no postcode restrictions on the advice.

What this means in practice
  • All meetings by video or phone.
  • No in-person option in WA.
  • The same adviser, the same scope, the same fees.

What we advise on for Perth clients.

01

Retirement and transition

Drawdown sequencing, transition-to-retirement strategies, and the final ten working years. Equally applicable in WA as in Victoria.

02

Superannuation, accumulation

Fund selection, consolidation of legacy accounts, salary sacrifice and co-contribution. The structural work most Perth professionals neglect.

03

Personal risk insurance

Income protection, TPD, trauma, life cover. Business insurance for self-employed clients. Sized to the household, not to a target premium.

04

Tax-effective investing

Negative gearing, franking credits, ownership structures. Coordinated with the household accountant in Perth or interstate.

05

Education, aged care, Centrelink

Children's education funding, aged-care fee planning, Centrelink optimisation. Eligibility rules are federal and travel with the client.

06

SMSF strategy alongside

SMSF advice itself sits outside this AR. SMSF lending and the broader strategy are handled within the practice for WA trustees.

Comprehensive advice is delivered as a written Statement of Advice. Minimum engagement for managed-fund investment is $50,000.

Perth clients we work with.

White-collar professionals on incomes above $200,000. A meaningful share of the Perth book is mining, energy and engineering sector. Doctors and specialists are a deliberate focus. Pre-retirees in the final ten working years often start with retirement and drawdown work, drawn from the wider retirement planning hub. Young professionals in the 25 to 35 wealth-building stage.

The Perth book splits roughly into three geographies. The western suburbs through Cottesloe, Subiaco and Claremont, often higher-income households with established asset bases. The Cottesloe-to-Fremantle coastal corridor, a mix of upgraders and downsizers. And eastern growth through Ellenbrook and Forrestfield, weighted to first-property and family files.

WA loan sizes typically run lower than Sydney and inner Melbourne, which changes the cash-flow side of the plan rather than the structural side. A pass through the borrowing capacity calculator often surfaces the structural questions worth raising on the first call. The advice does not become a different shape because the postcode starts with a 6.
