A financial planner for Hobart, wherever you are.
A financial planner covering retirement, super, insurance and keeping your tax bill down, for clients across Hobart and Tasmania. We meet over video. You get exactly the same adviser, the same advice and the same fees as anyone who walks into the office.

How it works if you’re in Hobart.
Every meeting runs on Zoom or Teams. Documents move through a secure portal and signatures are captured electronically. Hobart sits in the same time zone as the Melbourne office, which makes scheduling simpler than for any other interstate file.
Hours run 8am to 7pm AEST. We hold late slots for clients who can only talk at the end of the working day. Phone is available on 1300 67 37 37 or 0419 506 560.
Most files run as one introductory call, one strategy meeting, and one Statement of Advice walkthrough. Document exchange happens between meetings, not during them.
There is no Hobart office. Service is virtual, and has been from the start.
The practice runs from Suite 11.18, 401 Docklands Drive, Melbourne. Hobart and broader Tasmanian engagements happen by video and phone. There is no postcode restriction on the advice and no surcharge for clients outside Victoria.
Tasmania is a smaller market by national standards. The advice itself is federal, so the substance of the work does not change because the property and the super sit at the bottom of the country rather than the top.

What we can help with.
Retirement and transition
Drawdown sequencing, transition-to-retirement strategies, and the final ten working years. A common Tasmanian brief, often involving public-sector defined-benefit overlay.
Superannuation, accumulation
Fund selection, consolidation of legacy accounts, salary sacrifice and co-contribution. The structural work most professionals neglect until their 40s.
Personal risk insurance
Income protection, TPD, trauma and life cover, plus business cover if you work for yourself. The amount is worked out from your household, not from a premium we're aiming at.
Tax-effective investing
Negative gearing, franking credits, and whose name things should be in. Worked through with your accountant, wherever they are.
Education, aged care, Centrelink
Paying for school and uni, the cost of aged care, and getting the Centrelink you're entitled to. These rules are federal, so they follow you wherever you live.
SMSF strategy alongside
Advice on setting up a fund sits outside this licence. The lending and the wider strategy we handle in-house for Tasmanian trustees.
You get the advice in writing — formally, a Statement of Advice. If it involves managed funds, we start at a $50,000 portfolio.
Who we work with in Hobart.
Tasmania is a small market, and most files fall into a few clear groups. Public-sector employees with defined-benefit super positions sit at the centre, and the work often turns on a single decision about how to treat the pension entitlement. The starting point is usually superannuation advice on the legacy fund.
Self-employed business owners, doctors and specialists from the Royal Hobart Hospital catchment, and pre-retirees within the final ten working years make up the bulk of the rest. They typically move into retirement and drawdown planning drawn from the wider retirement planning hub. Loan sizes are lower than the mainland capitals, and the borrowing capacity calculator gives a quick read on that side, but the change is on cash-flow rather than structure.
The Hobart property market was an investment darling during the 2017 to 2021 cycle and has cooled meaningfully since. We talk about that honestly rather than chasing the narrative either direction. The plan is built on income and risk first, with property a follow-on decision.
Planning, loans and buying a place — all handled here.
